Sulphur removal with THIOPAQ O&G technology

Sour gas requires desulphurization. Desulphurization means sulphur removal as a first step. At least, in most cases. Next is sulphur recovery. Traditionally, Amine units followed by Claus based technology or single step iron chelates or scavenging are used.

Today though, gas sources with relatively low H2S content, smaller multi-well natural gas fields in isolated locations, and debottlenecking for refineries are quite common. For a great number of these challenges Paqell proposes THIOPAQ O&G as an interesting alternative to consider.

THIOPAQ O&G can be deployed as single step for both sulphur removal and sulphur recovery for those cases where CO2 removal is not required. Or for sulphur recovery only, treating the off gas of an upstream amine unit.
