Refinery gas treatment with THIOPAQ O&G | Paqell
Sour gas requires desulphurization. At least, in most cases. Traditionally this is done with amine/Claus based technology (wet or dry) , caustic scrubbing or scavenging.
Today, however, smaller refinery gas sources with relatively low H2S content and debottlenecking for refineries are quite common. Off gases from e.g. hydrocracking operations or sour water strippers (SWS) are often difficult to treat economically with more traditional technology.
How about a combination of gases or spent caustics from a several sources?
Paqell proposes THIOPAQ O&G technology for a great number of these challenges as an interesting alternative for you to consider.
Refinery gas desulphurization projects
Does your desulphurization projects require recovery up to 150 t/d of sulphur?
Then THIOPAQ might be an economically interesting option. A THIOPAQ O&G installation is simpel, safe and stable. This translates into relatively low CAPEX and OPEX numbers and an easy and safe operation.
For a quick overview of the process steps and a deeper understanding of the THIOPAQ O&G technology we have placed an animated movie of the THIOPAQ O&G process on our website.
As an extra advantage of THIOPAQ, many companies have developed agricultural fertilizers and fungicides, based on the biosulphur from the THIOPAQ O&G unit. A market for this biological sulfur exists, but the biosulphur can also be melted. Download THIOPAQ O&G Desulphurisation factsheet
